The artist's brother had a brithday and enjoys drinking coffee. She laid out her moka pot, house plant and a spoon to mix the creamer on a stool infront of her sliding glass door to her porch. The morning light filtered through her burlap curtain panels to create this soft, warm light. The still life is the first of a planned series for a collection of paintings depicting different coffee rituals.
